What are AWS Availability Zones (AZ)?

An AWS Availability Zone (AZ) is an isolated location within an AWS region consisting of one or more Data Centers. AWS currently offers 69 AZs in various regions around the world. By designing your Cloud infrastructure to be redundant across multiple AZs, you can achieve a high level of resilience and reliability. This is a critical concept in Cloud computing, where the availability of resources and services is improved by distributing them across multiple locations. By using AWS Availability Zones, you can ensure that your applications remain available even if there are disruptions or outages in a single Data Center.
