What do colors in Jira mean?

For any given issue in Jira, three colors – Blue, Green, and Orange are used for signifying the amount of time spent on the given issue. The information is available under the section of ‘Time Tracking.’ Every color has its own significance:

  • Blue – Signifying the ‘Original Estimate’ –the time estimate in resolving the issue. The field gets labeled as “Estimated”.

  • Orange – Determining the time remaining for resolving the issue. It is labeled as “Remaining”.

  • Green – Defining the actual time that has been utilized or spent in resolving the given issue. It is labeled as “Logged”.
