SAFe is an acronym for “Scaled Agile Framework.” It is a framework for integrating agile into larger organizations with multiple teams. SAFe scales the benefits of Scrum to more complex structures while maintaining centralized decision-making processes. Introduced by Dean Leffingwell and Drew Jemilo in 2011, the framework is based on system thinking, lean product development and agile software development. Among all applied scaled frameworks, SAFe has a high popularity.
