How to create and edit Jira dashboards?

The main screen you see when you log into the Jira app is your Jira dashboard. There is a standard dashboard (default dashboard which customizes only Jira admins), and a custom dashboard (this one you create and customize according to your needs).

Creating a Jira dashboard

  1. Click on “Dashboards” from the main menu
  2. Click on the “Create Dashboard” button
  3. Select a layout for your dashboard
  4. Name your dashboard and click “Create”
  5. Add gadgets to your dashboard by clicking “Add gadget.” There are several built-in gadgets available in Jira that you can use, or you can create your own custom gadget
  6. Configure each gadget by clicking on the gear icon in the top-right corner of the gadget
  7. Save your dashboard by clicking on the “Save” button

 

To edit an existing Jira dashboard, follow these steps:

  1. Click on “Dashboards” from the main menu
  2. Click on the dashboard you want to edit
  3. Click on the “Edit” button
  4. Add or remove gadgets as necessary
  5. Configure each gadget by clicking on the gear icon in the top-right corner of the gadget
  6. Save your changes by clicking on the “Save” button

You can also share your Jira dashboard with other users or groups by clicking on the “Share” button and adding the appropriate users or groups.
