Above that it is priced per user, from USD 1.00 per user per month on Confluence and USD 1.20 on Jira, falling as your instance grows. Data Center is an annual subscription starting at USD 1,300 per year for Jira. Both apps have a 30-day free trial, and you are billed by Atlassian, not by Actonic.

Confluence Data Center starts at the 500-user tier. If you run a smaller Confluence Data Center instance, talk to us rather than assuming the app is out of reach.
What the price includes
- Every module. There is no feature-gated edition. Sensitive data detection, the Data Cleaner, user and project or space anonymization, consent management and audit logs are all in the one price.
- The full detection library: 62 built-in patterns covering 27 countries, including 32 national ID formats and 20 phone formats.
- Unlimited custom RegEx rules that you write yourself.
- Custom pattern development at no charge. If you need a pattern that is not in the library, send us the requirement and we build, test and hand over the RegEx for you. This is not a paid professional-services line, it is part of support.
- Support from the team that builds the app, Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 18:00 CET, from Stuttgart.
How Atlassian app billing works
Three things surprise people, so they are worth stating plainly.
- Atlassian bills you, not us. The app appears on your existing Atlassian invoice. There is no separate vendor contract or purchase order for a standard subscription.
- Your app tier must match your product tier. If your Jira licence is for 500 users, you buy the app for 500 users, even if only three people in the compliance team will ever open it. That is an Atlassian rule and it applies to every Marketplace app.
- The trial is 30 days and it is a full trial. Not a limited edition, not a demo instance. On Data Center it is one trial per customer, and we can usually extend it if a security review needs longer.
Frequently asked questions
Is Data Protection Toolkit free?
It is free on Atlassian Cloud for instances of up to 10 users, with no time limit and no feature restriction. Above 10 users it is a paid subscription. On Data Center there is no free tier, only the 30-day trial.
How much does it cost for 100 users?
On Jira Cloud, USD 120 per month or USD 1,200 per year. On Confluence Cloud, USD 100 per month or USD 1,000 per year. On Jira Data Center, USD 2,200 per year. Confluence Data Center starts at the 500-user tier, so contact us for a 100-user instance.
Do I need both apps if I use Jira and Confluence?
Yes. They are two separate Marketplace apps with separate licences, because Atlassian sells Jira and Confluence apps separately. Buying both is common for organisations that need one compliance story across the whole Atlassian estate.
Is there a discount for annual billing?
On Cloud, yes: paying annually costs ten times the monthly price rather than twelve, so two months are free. Data Center is annual by definition.
Do you offer academic, community or open-source pricing?
Atlassian operates those programmes, not us, and the discounts are applied through the Marketplace. Check the pricing tab on the listing for the current terms.
What happens if my user count grows mid-term?
Atlassian recalculates at your next billing event and prorates the difference. You do not need to do anything with us.
Can I get a quote in euros?
Marketplace pricing is set in USD. If your procurement process needs a euro quote or a formal offer document, contact us and we will produce one.
