Inline Table Editing 2.0 for Confluence Cloud: Built on Forge, Cleaner Editing, Dark Theme

🚀 Inline Table Editing 2.0 for Confluence Cloud: built on Atlassian Forge

Version 2.0.0 of Inline Table Editing for Confluence Cloud is live on the Atlassian Marketplace. The app now runs on Atlassian Forge, Atlassian’s own cloud platform, and brings a cleaner editing flow, a dark theme and a long list of fixes.

🔒 Built on Atlassian Forge

Page content no longer passes through our servers. Your tables are read and saved inside Atlassian’s cloud, and they load faster.

✍️ Cleaner editing

  • Publishing without pop-ups. Filters and sorting are published or discarded from the menu next to the Publish button.
  • Filters and sorting can be saved with the table without touching its content.
  • Merged cells work with sorting.
  • Dark theme, matching Confluence.

🛠️ Bug fixes

  • Task checkboxes in cells can be ticked and are saved.
  • Mentions, images, links and Jira macros in cells work.
  • Tables with emoji (❗ ✅ ⚠️) can be published.
  • Text typed in a cell or filter is no longer lost.
  • No more false “changed by somebody else” warnings.
  • Publishing no longer deletes or reorders rows.
  • Fixed-height tables and “Filter by value” scroll correctly.
  • Pages with draw.io diagrams load all tables.

⚠️ Before you upgrade

  • The update is not applied automatically. A Confluence admin installs it in Manage apps with the Update button.
  • The previous Connect version keeps working unchanged until 31 January 2027.
  • Macros from other vendors that are not built on Forge do not render inside table cells.
