Read on here for what the retirement changes and how to match the old report exactly.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][heading title=&#8221;What the User Workload Report showed&#8221; heading=&#8221;h2&#8243;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>For a selected user, the report listed each project they have unresolved work in, with two numbers per project: the count of unresolved issues and the total remaining estimate, plus an overall total. That&#8217;s it \u2014 useful, but locked to one user at a time and invisible on dashboards.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][heading title=&#8221;Why the other native options don&#8217;t cover it&#8221; heading=&#8221;h2&#8243;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>Teams asking for &#8220;workload by assignee with remaining estimate&#8221; usually get pointed at two places, and both fall short:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The board&#8217;s Workload by Assignee panel<\/strong> shows remaining time per person \u2014 but only for a single board&#8217;s active sprint or backlog. It cannot aggregate across projects, has no history, and can&#8217;t go on a dashboard. Showing richer estimates there has been an open Atlassian feature request for years.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The workload pie chart gadget<\/strong> (Atlassian&#8217;s suggested replacement) counts issues per assignee \u2014 it cannot sum time estimates at all.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][heading title=&#8221;Rebuild it with the Workload template&#8221; heading=&#8221;h2&#8243;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>In Report Builder, create a new report from the <strong>Workload<\/strong> template in the gallery.<\/li>\n<li>Out of the box you get rows per <strong>assignee<\/strong> (expandable to individual issues) with four columns: <strong>Sum of Original Estimate<\/strong>, <strong>Sum of Remaining Estimate<\/strong>, a <strong>Progress by Time<\/strong> bar, and <strong>Count of Issues<\/strong> shown as a number plus its share of the total.<\/li>\n<li>Set the scope: pick projects in the scope picker, or switch the scope to JQL for the classic single-user view \u2014 e.g. <code>assignee = \"Maria\" AND resolution IS EMPTY<\/code>.<\/li>\n<li>To restore the old report&#8217;s per-project breakdown, add <strong>Project<\/strong> as a second row dimension (or as columns for a user \u00d7 project matrix).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;14115&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_shadow_border_circle&#8221; onclick=&#8221;link_image&#8221; css=&#8221;&#8221;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>The Workload template is the same &#8220;Workload Analysis&#8221; report we introduced in our <a href=\"https:\/\/actonic.de\/en\/jira-workload-by-assignee-keep-track-of-your-teams-workload-and-issues-in-jira\/\">Jira workload by assignee deep-dive<\/a> \u2014 it walks through the template gallery, scope selection and the inline progress bars with screenshots and a video. For capacity planning across sprints, add a Sprint or Due Date column dimension to see how the remaining work distributes over time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What about the board&#8217;s &#8220;Workload by Assignee&#8221; panel?<\/strong> It only covers one board&#8217;s current sprint or backlog.
